Check you’re signing in on the correct screen.
Most issues with login after migration, are caused by using the wrong login screen. The Launcher has 2 login options, after migrating you need to choose the “Microsoft login” option. The screenshots below will walk you through the process;
From the Mojang log in screen click GO BACK.
Choose Microsoft login.
In the windows that opens, login to your Microsoft account.
Once successfully logged in, the launcher will open.
Check your hosts file and clean it if necessary.
The hosts file is the next most common reason for login problems. Follow our hosts file guide to check it, and clean it if necessary.
Check your computer for incompatible software.
Finally, a large number of login issues are caused by programs that are incompatible with Minecraft. Check through the incompatible software list, and remove any programs that appear on it.
The most common programs are;
- Firewall/Antivirus software.
- Remove anything except Windows Defender and try to login again.
- Internet banking software
- Remove the program and try logging in again.
